Monthly Time Card Calculator
This monthly time card calculator gives you a row for every day of the month — up to 31. Enter times only on the days you worked and leave the rest empty. Overtime is still applied week by week (each block of 7 days), and the month's grand total shows in hours and minutes or decimal.

How to use this monthly time card calculator
Enter clock-in and clock-out times for each day of the month. Overnight shifts are handled automatically — clocking out earlier than you clocked in rolls the shift into the next day.
Enter unpaid break or lunch minutes for each day, or tick “Breaks are paid” to keep them in the total.
Optionally choose an overtime rule (40h/week federal or California daily rules) and enter an hourly rate to see gross pay.
Read each day's total in the right-hand column and the grand total below the table, in h:mm or decimal hours.
Frequently asked questions
How many work hours are in a month?
It varies from about 160 to 184 for full-time work, depending on how many weekdays the month has. A quick estimate is weekly hours × 4.33.
How is overtime handled in a monthly view?
Overtime is legally a weekly concept, so the calculator evaluates each consecutive 7-day block separately and sums the results.
What if the month has 30 days?
Leave the extra row empty — blank days count as zero hours and don't affect totals.
