How to use this weekly time card calculator
Enter clock-in and clock-out times for each day of the week. Overnight shifts are handled automatically — clocking out earlier than you clocked in rolls the shift into the next day.
Enter unpaid break or lunch minutes for each day, or tick “Breaks are paid” to keep them in the total.
Optionally choose an overtime rule (40h/week federal or California daily rules) and enter an hourly rate to see gross pay.
Read each day's total in the right-hand column and the grand total below the table, in h:mm or decimal hours.
Frequently asked questions
How many hours is full time per week?
Commonly 40 hours in the US, though 35–37.5 is typical in some industries. Overtime under federal law starts after 40 hours in a workweek.
Does the week have to start on Monday?
No — the labels are just a guide. Any 7 consecutive days work; enter your times in order and weekly overtime still applies correctly.
How are my weekly hours converted to pay?
Enter your hourly rate: regular hours pay 1×, overtime 1.5×, and double time 2× where applicable. Gross pay appears with the totals.
