How to use this timesheet calculator
Enter clock-in and clock-out times for each day of the week. Overnight shifts are handled automatically — clocking out earlier than you clocked in rolls the shift into the next day.
Enter unpaid break or lunch minutes for each day, or tick “Breaks are paid” to keep them in the total.
Optionally choose an overtime rule (40h/week federal or California daily rules) and enter an hourly rate to see gross pay.
Read each day's total in the right-hand column and the grand total below the table, in h:mm or decimal hours.
Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between a timesheet and a time card?
They record the same thing — hours worked per day. A time card traditionally comes from a punch clock, while a timesheet is filled in manually. This calculator works for both.
How do I convert timesheet hours to payroll decimal?
Divide the minutes portion by 60. For example 38 hours 45 minutes is 38.75 hours. Switch the calculator's output to Decimal to see every total converted.
Can I use this for a team?
Yes — fill it in per person and note the total, or print the page per employee. Entries save in your browser per page, so one timesheet at a time is kept.
